Position may be located in either Albany, Binghamton, or Liverpool.  Travel to upstate branches required.

JOB SUMMARY:    
The Quality Improvement Manager supervises and ensures branch compliance with All Metro’s policies and procedures as well as compliance with local, state and federal regulations and accreditation requirements.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
People Metrics:
  • Participates in the orientation and training of all new Directors of Clinical Services to All Metro’s policies, procedures and job responsibilities.
  • Manages all aspects of clinical department while there is a vacancy in Director of Clinical Services position in an office including maintaining current orders, visits, and all clinical compliance.
 
Service Metrics:
  • Serves as a liaison with the local and state health departments by assisting branches with interpretation and implementation of regulations.
  • Serves as a resource to the clinical department regarding policies, procedures, risk management, homecare regulations and training.
  • Collaborates with branches in the standardization and streamlining of paraprofessional training.
  • Attends seminars on industry related issues and keep branches informed of all pertinent information.
  • Assists in the development of new forms.
     
    Performance Metrics:    
  • Audits branches for compliance with All Metro’s policies/procedures and with local, state and federal regulations in order to prevent fines/penalties, unfavorable audits by the Health Department, Accreditors and Contracts or loss of branch license.
  • Monitors policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and participates in the development of new policies as needed to ensure consistency with all personnel in providing quality service leading to increased revenue.
     
    EDUCATION:    
  • Current valid license as a Registered Nurse required.
 EXPERIENCE:
  • Three to five years community health nursing or home care nursing experience required.
  • One to three years supervisory or management experience required.
     
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong Basic typing and computer literacy skills.
     
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.; must be able to ambulate, stoop, bend, pull, twist, push and stretch without restrictions.
